METHOD

  1. Boil Water – Bring at least 500 g of water to a boil (96 °C).

  2. Add Coffee – Place 30 g of coarse ground coffee into the French Press.

  3. Pour Water (0:00) – Add all 500 g of hot water, saturating evenly.

  4. Steep (0:00–5:00) – Let sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to extract sweetness and depth.

  5. Break the Crust (5:00) – Stir gently to break the crust and release trapped aromas.

  6. Skim (5:10) – Remove floating grounds and foam with two spoons for a cleaner cup.

  7. Settle (5:10–10:00) – Let the brew rest another 5 minutes to allow grounds to sink.

  8. Plunge & Serve (10:00) – Gently lower the plunger just above the surface, then pour slowly into cups.

FLAVOR NOTES

Full-bodied and sweet with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel.

Clean and refined — the Hoffmann-style method emphasizes balance over heaviness.
